SCOPE OF WORK
Create an environment to satisfy all customers at Mamaesh- Adheres to personal presentation and grooming standards – Ensures all Health, Safety Systems and Practices are adhered -Honest, reliable, professional, competent and knowledgeable – Maintains a cheerful, enthusiastic and courteous attitude and be punctual every time you are scheduled to work -To perform any additional duties throughout the shift.
Main Duties (Order Taking)
- Assist the hostesses in greeting, seating guests.
- Continuously maintains cleanliness and order in and around the restaurant, service stations and back of house areas
- To complete any set-up and opening duties assigned to the station.
- To complete any set-up and closing duties assigned to the station.
- To practice “full hands in and full hands out” throughout the shift
- Report to shift in Charge for their shift assignments (role).
- Reports to Branch Manager admin aspects.
- Check Duty Allocation and table plans for the shift.
- Check the service station set-up and complete according to the checklist “if assigned as waiter”.
- Check the service station set-up and complete according to the checklist “if assigned as Cashier”.
- Check the service station set-up and complete according to the checklist “if assigned as Host”.
- Check the service station set-up and complete according to the checklist “if assigned as Barista”.
During service
- Assist with meeting, greeting, and seating of guests and follow the 4 steps of service.
- Present menus to guests – host first, then ladies and other guests according to seniority
- Inform guests of any daily specialties recommend items as appropriate
- Check delivery of beverages is timely and correct
- Reconcile cash and credit payments and follow banking procedures (if applicable)
- Check that food and service is to the guests satisfaction, and that guests have everything they require 2 minutes after delivery of each course
- Ensure smooth operations throughout service
- Ensures that bill presentation and collection of payment is done consistently according to Mamaesh standards
- Thank guests for their visit, encourage repeat visit (inform about future events, and take bookings if appropriate), bid guests farewell and assist with departure
- Final check on table for any guest property left behind
- Ensure that table is cleared and re-laid if necessary
- Completes basic food hygiene trainings
- Show high importance on personnel hygiene and grooming
- Ensure throughout te shift hair nets are worn without fail and gloves when handling food
- Complete station training checklist and get certified within 4 weeks
